Cascadia Bioregion Summit, Sensemaking & Forest Jobs
"Resign yourself to the influence of the earth.” ~ Thoreau 🌎 💫
How can we support regenerative communities and projects and weave them together in a tapestry connected across landscapes?
After a month of travelling in communities around the Salish Sea and Willamette Valley, we invite you to join us for our capstone Regenerate Cascadia bioregional summit. We're thrilled to share a few of the inspiring lessons we've learned along the way, and more importantly, create space for everyone to come together, meet, learn from each other, and grow what comes next.
Attendance is free (or by donation!) and newcomers are warmly welcome.
If you haven’t registered yet, you can sign up here.

Save the Date!
This event is being created by…. YOU!. We are still setting our agenda for the weekend, and week. Full agenda, and links will be posted on the website. We’ll also have a more general email going out with links and updates. Just bear with us, and know we’re working as best as we’re able :).

A HUGE thank you everyone!
Cascadia is defined by the watersheds of the Columbia, Fraser, and Snake rivers.
More than a place, Cascadia is an identity and movement that stretches back decades, to the naming in 1981, and the first Cascadia bioregional congress in 1986. It is a vision for how people can live as a part of nature rather than removed from it.
Our hope is to grow a Regenerate Cascadia community, and active teams in each watershed, able to steward a vision, a story of place, as well as develop an informational commons and framework, weave together and map the regenerative work and see people supported for the work the world needs.
We hope this is the start of a conversation, and can’t wait to see what comes next.

Northern California bioregional mapathon
Created by: Tibet Sprague
From the Buckminster Fuller Institute:
We are pleased to announce a new BFI Design Lab project focused on bioregional regeneration in Northern California, initiated by Gaian Ventures. The project will kick off with a Mapathon focused on creating a holistic picture of the ecosystem of projects working to regenerate the ecology of northern California, with an eye to both healing the water system as well as increasing biodiversity.
A Mapathon is a unique process, developed by Hack Humanity, that is used to build a holistic picture of the ecosystem, mapping out key stakeholders, identifying problems and resources, and assessing the talent and technology needed. This process engages a diverse group in collaboration and creates a framework to enable people to generate viable bioregional scenarios.
If you are interested in getting involved in the process, please get in touch here.
